This week’s word: Gift: The intuitive ability to bring about peace

If you could have whatever you wanted this holiday season, would it be the gift of intuition?

People always ask me when I first realized I had an intuitive “gift.” And although the question doesn’t bother me, the word gift and what it implies does.

The idea that intuition is a gift given only to a select few is rubbish. Everyone is intuitive. It’s our innate faculty that operates our subtle energetic system so we can maintain balance physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually…we simply haven’t been educated about this part of ourselves.

So to think that some people have the gift of intuition and some do not falsely puts the “gifted” in the role of authority or guru which quite honestly is counter-intuitive (pardon the pun).

Intuition allows us to see that there is no higher authority than another….people are all the same, good, bad and indifferent and we all have access, via our intuition, to universal knowledge. Why is that important? Just image what the world might look like if everyone was able to see each other as equals…that’s the power our intuition offers which is why it truly is a gift that brings peace.

As you go about this holiday season, think about the true gift you already have inside you and determine to learn more about your intuition and how it can bring you the healing, empowerment and peace you seek.
