How to Access Your Intuition for a Healthier Life

Interview by: Health Thoroughfare

Intuition is often misunderstood or simply not discussed. What is intuition, really, and why should it be included in conversations about personal health and wellbeing?

Intuition is an innate guidance system that clues us into the subtle energies  influencing our mind, body, emotions and spirit. It should be included in conversations regarding health and wellbeing because intuition is the original healing component as it allows an individual to tune into the state of their wellbeing at all times.

Is intuition available to everyone?

Everyone is intuitive and can learn the science of inner awareness.

What role does intuition play in mental health?

Intuition is key to mental health. Often, individuals diagnosed with mental illness are in actuality overwhelmed with energetic signals and essences from those around them, causing many irrational patterns and behaviors. Should individuals with mental health learn to intuitively perceive themselves and their energetic environments, they could discern the source of their confusion, thereby eliminating, or healing it.

What are the health benefits that come from integrating intuition into one’s life and relationships?

The health benefits of intuition in one’s life and relationships are vast. Not only can intuition provide insight into healing physical and mental health issues but it allows a person to understand the core of their behaviors and actions which lends to transparency and a deeper ability to bond emotionally.

How has your life changed and health improved as a result of discovering you were intuitive?

Learning to perceive my life intuitively changed every aspect of my reality. Where I was depressed, confused, distant, and angry, intuition brought me understanding, motivation, bonding and joy. It seems sad to me that we do not teach this simple science to every individual as a means of finding personal understanding and fulfillment.

In regards intuition improving my health, I used to get colds several times a year. However, when I learned to hone my intuition, I realized my colds were due to clogged emotions in need of expression. Interestingly, when I would speak my truths, my colds would lessen. Now, I’m in the habit of expressing my emotions more readily and rarely get colds.

You’re also the “ethical intuitive” and have published the Intuitive Ethical Standards to establish guidelines for alternative therapists. What should people look for when seeking someone to help them access their own intuition?

The best teacher is one who doesn’t feel their intuitive prowess makes them special or that its a “gift.” Everyone is intuitive. That said, it can be difficult to find a qualified intuitive instructor simply because it is largely an untrained field. Ironically, you really need to use your intuition when seeking a teacher. If you don’t know how to do that, it’s best to speak with others and get their recommendations. I always say my business was built on referrals as that is truly the best test of a qualified intuitive practitioner.

How is intuition changing modern science?

Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity proves that all things are energetic in nature before they are physical. As a result, quantum scientists and theoretical physicist are studying and measuring the effects of energetic consciousness on reality. They now understanding that thoughts and emotions can be directed to create form in the sense that they activate the energetic field responsible for creating all of life. The more these scientists study intuition, the more they predict that as we unlock more of our higher minds, skills such as teleportation, telepathy and telekinesis will become a standard way of living.

What steps can a person take to deepen their understanding of their own intuition?

The best way to deepen your intuition is to give it credence and then pay attention to how it likes to show up for you. I suggested reading my book INTUITIVELY YOU and gaining an understanding of the four primary instincts of clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience and claircognizance and how they operate in your everyday life.

How are you different from a psychologist, and what benefits do those differences bring?

A psychologist can only listen to your concerns and encourage you to discover your own solutions – often suggested that you trust your gut. However, most individuals have a difficult time truly reaching the core of their issues in talk therapy because they are largely unaware of all the energy that influences them on a daily basis, not to mention, the karmic energy their soul has brought with them into this lifetime as a means of promoting their personal growth. Intuitives are invaluable in their ability to interpret another person’s energetic make up and the reason for their circumstances. It is this ability to offer a client information they could not receive for themselves that allows them to move beyond their life issues and why I’m often told one hour with me is like ten years of therapy.

What advice would you give to someone who feels stuck in their career or current situation so they can live a more impactful, positive life?

The only way to be happy and live an impactful life is to stop following the expectations of others and start following what calls to your heart. If we all did this, the landscape of our culture would shift into a peaceful and cooperative society.
